Tebow fans have been asking the Jets to “Free Tebow” ever since the season ended. Well…he’s free. Now what? Jacksonville doesn’t want him (boo!). Indoor teams are making insulting offers (c’mon Omaha Beef). And yet there are still a lot of supporters out there saying he can be a difference maker for an NFL team.
I think it’s just a matter of time before we see Tebow back in the NFL. Maybe it won’t be this year now that most team’s have a full QB roster, but there are plenty of bad QB’s in the league. Even if you think Tebow is one of them, he still finds a way to win and that’s what makes him exciting. He just needs to find a team that isn’t afraid of the circus! And perhaps New England’s anti-media, no-nonsense culture is the perfect place!
Do you still believe?
What do you think? Will Tebow make it back to an NFL team? If you BEL15VE, show your support with this BEL15VER avitar on your favorite social media site.
It’s been a bit quiet around BEL15VER headquarters this summer since Tebow got traded. However, we do have a few notable things to share. After the trade, we decided to continue the BEL15VER campaign with a New York twist. We updated the logo in a style similar to the Jets font and we now offer an official Jets BEL15VER tee in forest green. Let us know what you think about the new design!
But, the more exciting part for us was being able to reflect on what happened in January and the amazing support we received from Broncos fans and Tebow supporters around the world. More than 9,000 fans joined us on facebook in one thrilling week and hundreds of fans from 43 states ordered 1,123 t-shirts. It was a whirlwind of activity and once things slowed down a bit, we were able to look back, take inventory and figure out just how much we could donate to the Tim Tebow Foundation.
We always said we’d give 15%, but once we ran the numbers the sum wasn’t all that impressive. So we decided to increase the percentage a bit to reach an even $1,500 (for obvious symbolic reasons). We wrote a cover letter, packed up a handful of BEL15VER tees (including the new Jets tee) and sent them off along with the check to the foundation in Florida.
Then, a few weeks later, we got confirmation that they indeed received our package. It feels good to give back and share our success story with the people and person that made our campaign possible. Thanks again to Bronco Nation and the businesses that supported the campaign including Woodley’s Furniture, InterCall and Impact Sports.
Looking forward, we’re anxious to see how the 2012 NFL season unfolds as well as how much we can raise with the BEL15VER brand. We suspect Tebow will continue to do great things on the field and even more impactful things off the field. After all, that’s why we’re BEL15VERS in the first place.
First of all, thank you. Thank you for bringing excitement back to the Denver Broncos and for all that you’ve done to represent the city of Denver. You’ve made believers out of so many Broncos fans and brought your own style of Mile High Magic. It was fun to watch!
You brought a lot of fans with you from Florida and you’ll take many of them with you to New York. For me, the Broncos will always be my team, but you’ve made me a life long BEL15VER and I’ll continue to root for you no matter where you go. I look forward to seeing what kind of magic you can bring to your new team and will continue to rally those that believe in what you do on and off the field.
Farewell, good luck and God bless!
The Broncos are on a mission to win another playoff game this week. We’re on a mission to rally 15,000 fans on facebook in support of the team. All you have to do is like the facebook page and tell your friends about it. Then watch the game on Saturday and, of course, believe.
Tebow is the face of the Broncos whether you like it or not. He’s made the Broncos relevant again. So, yes, the “15” is for Tebow, but it’s also for taking the game quarter by quarter–15 minutes at a time–especially the last 15! So believe in the defense. Believe in the special teams. Believe in the offense. Believe in the team.
So the Broncos haven’t given us much to believe in lately. But, they are in the playoffs and as fans we have every right to believe in a win Sunday against the injury-plagued Steelers. Stranger things have happened right? If you believe, let the team know by spreading the word on facebook and twitter. Don’t forget to use the #BEL15VER hash tag.
